What is dlvr.it?
Using http://Dlvr.it, you can link up your blog’s RSS feed to your different social media accounts.
Not only does this save you time, but it also enables you to use Dlvr.it’s analytics dashboard to get some extra stats on how your posts have performed across social media.
Setting up your RSS feeds
Setting up your RSS feeds within Dlvr.it couldn’t be easier. The first step, once you’ve created an account on Dlvr.it, is to navigate to
Automate > Add a Route
A ‘route’ is essentially the path that your content will be distributed through. To start with, you need to add a new ‘source’ – this will be your jobs RSS feed. The RSS feeds for your fxrecruiter site jobs is here:
http://your-website-url.com/feeds/jobs_rss.php [substute your own URL for your-website-url.com]
Simply add in your RSS feed into your sources (NOTE: you can add multiple sources to the same ‘route’, so you could add your Blog's feed too) and add any extra information that you want from the Dlvr.it settings. Once you’ve done this, you can set up your ‘destinations’ (ie the social media accounts that you will share from).
Connect your accounts
Then connect with the necessary social accounts (giving dlvr.it authority to post to them).
If you want to be a little more specific about the types of post that Dlvr.it shares from your feed then you can filter by post body content, title or URL. For instance,
This can be great if you are setting up feeds to automatically share content from external websites and you only want content from specific categories or by specific authors to be shared. As well as this, you can set up custom tracking codes for Google Analytics in order to effectively track click-throughs/conversion, etc.
A note on LinkedIn
You need the paid version of dlvr.it to post to LinkedIn. You can post your jobs and feeds to a personal profile, company page, or both. The paid version is $99.50 per year at the time of writing - https://dlvrit.com/pages/plans.php - so good value if you compare to the cost of someone's time to do this manually.
